Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | Last Chance
10 Fall Booties Under $100
It's October people...the beginning of boot-wearing weather (at least here in the south)!!!!
I've expressed my love a time or two for booties and how they have staying power, right? Not only are they super versatile (can be worn with jeans, skirts, cropped pants, dresses, etc.), but are a fail-proof outfit chic-maker (did you know that was a term?). I've compiled 10 of my favorite booties in stores right now that all are under $100!!!! There are several even in the $50 range, which is a total steal considering the quality and materials with which they're made.
STYLE TIP: If you're on the fence between investing in a black or brown bootie, go for the brown/cognac color. You'll get more wear out of them, as the brown can be paired with anything...especially black outfits. In my personal opinion, the cognac shades look more sophisticated, refined, and effortless.

Black Booties {Save vs. Steal}
Even though my black booties are a few years old, there are almost identical ones in stores right now...so obviously, they have some staying power.
Black booties are shoes that work hard for the money...(so hard for you honey). Not only is the classic black timeless and versatile, but they can be worn with virtually any bottom you choose....skinny jeans, skirts, dresses, wide-leg trousers, etc. You can see my favorite way to wear them here.
When normally we see a "splurge versus steal" kind of comparison, I thought I'd change it up a bit since both of these options are affordable and there's not really a "splurge" per say....

Yes, the one on the right is a bit more, but it's still under $100 which is a bargain for a quality leather bootie that will last you.
If you already have a pair of black booties,
What is your favorite way to wear them?
and
Do you think they're a shoe staple?
Fall Must Have: Brown Riding Boots
I was really hoping to score a good Labor Day deal on some new boots, but there doesn't seem to be too much going on by way of "steals". At least not with fall fashion.
I'm specifically on the hunt for some brown riding boots. I'd love some heeled ones as well, but think I'd get the most for my investment out of a low (or no) heel. I just adore the classic look of structured riding boots with skinnies. It's basically a no-fail outfit...even if you have no idea what to wear on top. Pair anything from a tee to a button-up to a tunic with some dark wash jeans and knee high boots....DONE.
Just to give you a heads up now, the aforementioned combination will most likely be my uniform once this weather cools down. That is, if I can find some boots. I sure am doing my darndest to find the best ones for me....here's a few I've seen around.
1. Halogen - $219.95
2. Ralph Lauren -$149.99
3. Frye - $388
4. Jessica Simpson - $99
5. Vince Camuto - $159.90
6. Nine West - $159
What shade do you lean towards? Cognac? Chestnut? Luggage? Dirt? (Ha! Gotcha on that last one.)
Oh, and by the way....I'll give you one guess who's a 'DOT COMMER' now!!!!
