Halloween Costume Ideas

Oh how I love dressing up.

A good costume can make a good time turn into a legendary time.

I think I've transferred that love for costumes to my children (but most certainly not to Blake), however, this Halloween feels a little different because we aren't dressing up with a theme.  In years past, our family has done The Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, Hippies, and Alvin and the Chipmunks.

This year, Tyler Bree and Riley want to use their recital costumes from last year and be blue fairies.  How original.  This is like costume nails on the chalkboard for me.  But whatev...I'm gonna roll with it...and coerce them to let me do some major face painting.

This is what Blake and I, ahem, I mean Forrest and Lt. Dan dressed as for couples bunco a few weeks back.  Isn't it great???  It was so fun, but staying in character was a little challenging...I think my ankles still ache from sitting like that!  And a shout out to all the other couples that night...there were some amazing ones!!!!
We have two Halloween get togethers this weekend...a trunk-or-treat at church and a friend's party.  Blake isn't too keen on dressing up again and I certainly can't wrangle 4 kids in my Lt. Dan get up...so I've decided to do a little combo with Bennett.  It involves lots of face paint and camo...but you'll have to follow along on Instagram to find out before next week!
