Whereas dainty necklaces were the calling card of the early 2000's, statement necklaces have definitely staked their claim as the official necklace of the current decade....and actually, have become more of a classic staple than a trend.
One of my favorite ways to wear a good ol' statement necklace is with a buttoned up collared shirt.  It not only looks smart, but when buttoned-up all the way, gives a little quirky edge to your outfit.  La Sirena Boutique send me this gorg teardrop necklace and I've been so excited about the possibilities of options with this beauty.  (See here for more colors.)
