Best Mother's Day Yet

blouse: Kohl's, skirt (exact) and heels (exact): Target, clutch: gift from SIL, belt: vintage, bracelet: Lemon & Line/Michael Kors (similar)/Charming Charlie, earrings: Kendra Scott, Glasses (exact): BonLook

Wow, we had an eventful, jam-packed weekend.  But it was great!....aside from all of our pillow-yearning this morning.

I'll talk more about the lake trip tomorrow, but let me just tell you what an awesome husband I have!  Yesterday (Mother's Day) morning, I woke up at 8:30 (slept in) to the wonderful aroma of a sweet breakfast.
And when I say sweet, I mean SA-WEEEEEEET!

My husband had asked me what I wanted him to make me for breakfast and I really didn't have anything in mind.  I just told him I like my breakfasts more on the sweet side rather than savory.  He then took it upon himself to find recipes (on Pinterest I might add) and went grocery shopping late Saturday night to get all the necessary ingredients.  When I woke up, I was blown away by the effort that went into cooking all of this for me while managing four hungry and not-so-patiently-waiting-for-their-breakfast kids.
Double Stuffed Nutella French Toast//Rolo Monkey Bread//Caramel Apple Topping

In addition to this yumminess, he had also prepared fresh squeezed orange juice. I could only eat about half of the breakfast (mainly due to its filling nature, but also because the calorie count was beginning to scare me).  The rest of the morning was laid back and leisurely...for me at least.

I told my husband that I now know what it must be like to have a personal chef and a nanny....because for the most part, I only had to take care of myself yesterday, which is something pretty foreign to me.  It was glorious.

I'm so thankful for the special Mother's Day I was given and how many incredible blessing motherhood has given me.  Even though it's a challenge in most moments, being a mother to my four children is the greatest job I could ever ask for.  When I worked in the corporate world, I knew it just wasn't for me.  I was meant to stay home with my children.  I was meant for this life.

And I couldn't imagine it any other way.
