Let's Make-Up

When I was little, my mom had a make-up bag that said "Let's Make-up" on it...I guess it stuck in my head because at the time I thought it was pretty clever.

My make-up routine is pretty simple...on days I wear it, that is.

I wear make-up only 2-3 times a week.  My kids don't care if I look like I just rolled out of bed all day long.  In fact, when I do "get ready" they ask me where I am going or who is coming over.

My basics can be applied in under five minutes.  My "dressy" make-up takes a bit longer (as it should), with which I like to have fun.

On regular days, it's as follows...

I use Aveeno tinted moisturizer (SPF 30) followed by some concealer and powder.

MAC translucent powder
And some blush...
NARS in Orgasm
 And some bronzer
Rimmel in Sun Queen
Actually, reverse that order.

I love this eye-shadow palette my MIL gave me.  It has pretty much everything.
Laura Mercier eye palette
This is hands down the best eyelash curler...ever...period.  Go get one at Sephora, stat.
Shu Umera eyelash curler

The rest is pretty standard....

When I do wear eye-liner, it's this stuff.  Or the smudgy stuff that I didn't get a picture of.

Maybelline Line Stilleto
Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion
I really enjoy make-up.  Don't all girls?  Or do they?  I've wondered if all females feel the same as I do...

That I can never have enough make-up.  I always need another eye-shadow color. Or a different shade of blush.  I need it all!

There are two things in my book that make the world of difference with make-up application.

One being good, quality brushes.  I got these in college.  I wash them with baby shampoo about every month and they have served me well.

Second, I absolutely HAVE to have a lighted mirror.  Preferably to look into while sitting at a vanity looking down into my makeup drawer.
If I have those two things, I could be applying coal to my eyes and brushing dust on my cheeks for all I care.

At least I'd be able to see well and apply well.

Although, I'd look like a cave woman.
