I'm finally getting around to posting about our county stock show a few weeks back. This was Tyler Bree's first year to show pigs and she also entered three photography projects. Being on this side of it (as a mom) was slightly nerve-wracking. On the day of the show, her pigs were difficult and stubborn for her in the ring, but she worked her very hardest and ended up with two first place hogs. We still have San Antonio, Houston, and Star (Austin) stocks shows coming up in the next two months...so we'll see how those go!
The highlight for her was winning Grand Champion on one of her photography projects. The photo was taken at my mom's house of her chickens. It was interesting how the judges leaned toward traditional color images....not toward the more artistic ones. She really picked up the tips I taught here about composition, focus, and aperture. We were so proud of her...as she was of herself!!!!
What a talented girl! I love all the pictures she took, but the one of the pooch is my favourite :o)
