Casual Friday

When I was in the work place, our dress code was very strict.  No open-toed shoes, hosiery required, anything flashy was looked down upon, etc.  Our "casual Fridays" never looked like this.

Sweater: Marshalls (similar), scarf: Old Navy (similar), White v-neck and flats: Target, Jeans: Vigoss via Nordstroms Rack

Granted, it was at a financial institution, but still.

Although everyday is a "casual Friday" if I want it to be, it's nice to get up and get dressed in the morning.  Sometimes it's too easy to stay in my PJs all the day long and then finally decide I'll go ahead and change into my work out clothes around 4pm.  I kid.  Sorta.

But really, even though I don't always practice what I preach, I believe that getting dressed everyday is a fundamental factor in starting your day on purpose.  I feel more proactive, more awake, and not so awkward when I can answer the door with more than just my bedhead sticking out.
