Looking "Brave"

vest (similar) and pants (similar): CAbi, shirt: Target, necklace (similar): ModCloth, shoes (similar): Old Navy, purse (similar), watch: Michael Kors

So, as promised on Friday, here's the tartan vest I wore to the Austin Celtic Festival's screening of 'Brave' this past weekend.  I got it for $8!!!!  I wasn't particularly thrilled with this whole outfit (I mean, how well can one style a wool vest in the heat of the summer?), but I'm a sucker for festive dressing any chance I get....or have appropriate clothes for.

The movie was just darling...I definitely recommend it!  The wonderful theme of mother/daughter love was especially touching, as was the celtic music.  I've decided not to let my girls see it...in the near future anyway.  Just a tad dark for them in my opinion.

My momma and I watched the movie at the Alamo Draft House, which is a fun place for any movie viewing.  We were also treated to a short little show by the Silver Thistle Pipes and Drum.  There is just something about bagpipes that is hauntingly beautiful.  Then, after the movie, everyone was gifted with tickets to this year's festival in November....so fun!

I hope y'all have a great Monday!  I'm really looking forward to our Schlitterbaun trip later this week...here in Texas it's supposed to be 106, so being in the water all day is a necessity for sure.

106 degrees?!?!?  Uh!  Gag me.  If you don't see regular blog posts this week, please send help (and ice-cold diet Dr. Pepper).  It means I've completely melted.

You know...'cause I'm so sweet and all.

The Mrs. & The Momma
