The Verdict

After seeing Hunger Games, I was pleasantly satisfied with how the movie reflected the book, however I'm wondering, how people are receiving it as a stand alone film (without having read the books).  My own taste in movies would not have led me to watch the Hunger Games due to its morbid and violent nature.  Therefore, I'm a huge advocate of reading the series....because not only are they great page turners, but the story as a whole is rather uplifting in the end, leaving the reader with themes of hope rather than death.  It gets two thumbs up from me!
