Calling the Fashion Police!

One of the reasons I started this blog was to explore clothing options for not only the fun that entails, but also to chronicle what works and what doesn't work for me.

At the risk of showing some pretty unflattering pictures of myself, I recently have discovered several styling faux pas of my own.  In other words, what do not work for me.

I was a double offender on this one:
Lace shirt and pin: Nordstroms, Black shirt: Downeast Basics, jeans: Vigoss
Not only is this puke green color awful for my skin tone, the skinny jeans do me no favors.  I'll retire (read: donate) the lace shirt, but for the jeans, I'm determined to make them work.

My third offense:
Shirt and shoes: Target, skirt: Gap, jewelry: vintage (see prev. post), purse: Charming Charlies
This shirt is super hanger-friendly.  And I love the color.

But the gathered, elastic waist makes the rest of my body look shapeless.  Or maybe it's my well-endowed nursing boobs that throw it off.  Just not a flattering shirt.

This too, I still might try and make it work...maybe with a belt?

Did I do anything right fashion-wise this week?
I think I rocked my grandmother's vintage jewelry pretty well.

The clip-on earrings are killer, though.  I don't know how those broads did it back then.  My earlobes are still smarting!

  1. You're so cute and funny! I think a pair of skinny jeans go well with flouncy tops like your yellow shirt. I think it balances out the proportions. I love the color of it too!

Nice blog! Keep it up! :)
