Then He Smiled At Me...

I have a million other things I should be doing right now (we're hosting our family's Christmas Eve celebration tonight), but I just wanted to share something I posted earlier today on my personal Facebook page and also to wish you a very Merry Christmas!
"Little Drummer Boy" gets me every time...especially the part when "he has no gift to give to bring" so he "plays his best for Him" because that's all he has to give. And then Jesus "smiled at him" as if to say his gift was accepted and appreciated. I always think that song pretty much sums up our relationship with Him.  We'll never be able to give Him a gift sufficient enough to repay or equal the gift He gave all of us....but if we try our very best and give all that we have in our life with all our heart, then He will "smile at us" and we'll know it's enough because His grace makes up the rest. What a blessing that is! I hope everyone has a blessed and wonderful Christmas!
I'll be taking off (for the most part, unless I get a wild hair) the next week, so I'll be excited to get back in the swing of things in the New Year!!!
