What's in a Song?

I've fallen into sort of a running rut lately.  I feel like I haven't been able to push past this certain distance I'm trying to achieve.  At first I thought I might just not be physically cut out for long distance running (which I'm not)....but then after further thought....I decided that I'm just not motivated enough.  Yes, I'm motivated to actually run, as evidenced in my continual getting up at the crack of dawn to do it.  But I'm not "Eye of the Tiger" motivated.  See the difference?

My possible solution to this dilemma came in the form of musical inspiration.  I simply need a better play list.  Could it actually be as simple as that?  Is different music all I need to give that extra umph to my stride and kick through the wall I've been stopping at for the past several weeks?

So I've been on the hunt for some kick-A music to add to my running repertoire. The problem is, however, that I'm sort of picky.  Top 40 rap just doesn't do it for me.  Rap from the 90's does.  Girly hip-hop doesn't do it for me either.  Salt-n-Pepa does.  Grunge music does, too.  See a trend?

Here's what I currently have on my play list.  I try to keep it at a similar BPM, but that's not a mandatory requirement.

Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses
You Make My Dreams - Hall & Oates
Dog Days Are Over - Florence + The Machine
Harder to Breathe - Maroon 5
Good Girl - Carrie Underwood
My Sharona - The Knack
Scream - Usher
My Hero - Foo Fighters
Only Girl - Rhianna

So here's where I need your help.  I need some new music.  I spend a lot of time with my running music, so I feel like it should be a strong relationship between us built on songs I absolutely love.  It's always hard to break up with a play list song....so I'd kinda like it to have some staying power.  Something to either make me sing out loud causing others to look my way....or something to subconsciously make my legs move faster.

What is your favorite workout song?  If you're a runner, what song gets you motivated like no other?
