This year, our second child will start school (so we'll have a 1st grader and Kindergartner). The girls are super excited about school supplies, new backpacks, first day of school outfits, and their teachers. I kind of am, too.
And the excitement organizing it all. I was a little bummed that I didn't get to write their names on every single thing in perfect teacher-esque print. It's all 'community' supplies except for a few personal items such as their pencil box.
This girl is seriously pumped about starting school. She was so excited about "Back to School" night, that when she thought there was a chance her older sister might not be up to going (due to the teeth pulling), she made alternate arrangements with my mother (behind my back) to take her there. Covers her bases, that one does.
My five year old has the same teacher my oldest had last year. She is absolutely smitten. I think she gave her teacher at least five hugs at "Back to School" night.
I tried getting them on the "school sleep schedule" this past week...but sleep is just so wonderful, isn't it?
I couldn't wake them up. It's just not right.
I've never been one to wake up my babies.
It's pretty much a sacrilege in my book.
