Disney Cruise and Roadtrip-Part 1

Well, I'd said I'd be "bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" this morning, but due to an unfortunate encounter with the stomach bug, I'm neither.  It hit both me and my husband Saturday night and has been progressing through each one of my children ever since.  Yuck.

However, I did promise some of our vacation pictures, so here's the first part of our trip...."first part" being the three days we took to get from Texas to Florida.

We stopped in Baton Rouge for our first leg and went to the temple grounds there.

We then headed down the Mississippi River to visit the Oak Alley Plantation.  My husband and I had been there when we were about 16, but it was neat to peruse the grounds and think of all the history there.

I'm going to go lay back down now and cross my fingers this yuckiness leaves us asap.  Stay tuned for part 2 and 3 (Destin and Cruise, respectively) of our trip.

We truly made some wonderful memories and enjoyed every bit of it....even the marathon drive.
