This week will be busy will a capital "B".  I'm hosting Thanksgiving at our new house and we have tons to do before then.  It hurts to even think about my to-do list.

But that's beside the point...and not the kind of "busy" that I really meant by my post title.  I'm talking about this outfit.  There are a lot of things going on...three patterns at my last count.  But I think the busy-ness of patterns works here...or does it?
shirt: Gap, blouse and skirt: Target, shoes and watch: Michael Kors, belt: Arttie, ring: Charming Charlie

I've been on the lookout lately for complimenting patterns.  This blouse and skirt caught my eye (as did the price...I scored them both for only $12!), and I just had to see what kind of outfit I could come up with.

I told the hubs this morning that putting together an outfit that works gives me joy....whereas, putting together an outfit that isn't quite right but I have to wear it anyway because it's time to go and too late to change and subsequently bothers me to wear for the rest of the me grief.

As do run-on sentences.

  1. It's so fun mixing prints! I love that skirt. Good luck getting ready for Thanksgiving!
