D-LISH

So, I know this is not a food blog, but hear (read) me out.

In an effort to lose my baby weight, I have been trying to eat healthier.  "Trying" is the operative word.  I have a vicious sweet tooth that doesn't quit.  I think if I was actually successful in cutting sugar out of my diet (which I tried and failed), all my problems would be solved....in this realm at least.

Therefore, in a round about way, this post is pertinent to a fashion blog in that:

1.  Eating healthier can help me better fit into my clothes...

2.  Which will allow my clothes to look better ON...

3.  And I will ultimately be able to fully extend my wardrobe choices by fitting back into the majority of it that I currently do not.

I guarantee you these three realities simply by consuming the following...it's a promise.
(This is not a paid advertisement for bananas, peanut butter, or milk.)

So this is what I had today for a late afternoon snack/partial dinner.

I adapted this little concoction from here, with some healthy additions.

It was super filling, nutritious, yummy, and easy.  My kids even liked it, but I was stingy and didn't want to share with them my goodness.

But they made me.  I guess they do actually listen during those "teaching moments" about sharing...I just didn't think they'd turn it around on me!

Here it is...I call it "Banana Peanut Butter Oat Smoothie".  That took me forever to think of.  It's hard being so creative.

-2 frozen bananas
-1/2 cup fat-free milk
-2 big ole spoonfuls of peanut butter
-1 scoop protein powder
-1 scoop flax
-1/3 cup oatmeal
-1 pkg of chocolate Carnation instant breakfast
-8-10 ice cubes
*Blend

Next time I might add some almonds and greek yogurt.

Delish!
